Assurance Senior Manager

What you will be doing:
  • Work with other members of the assurance practice to develop and sustain excellent client relationships.
  • Coordinate the auditing of all required financial statements, related disclosures, and other client deliverables.
  • Review and supervise assurance engagement team work on client engagements to ensure the firm's quality control procedures are followed.
  • Collaborate with Partners in areas of risk assessment, audit programs, internal audit reports, and budgeting.
  • Monitor and assess the skill sets and capabilities of the assurance team, providing ongoing feedback and articulating areas for improvement.
  • Advise clients on economic and regulatory risks, resolving complex accounting issues with a deep understanding of GAAP.
  • Act as a technical resource for the team, explaining complex topics and providing training to staff.
  • Keep Partners informed of engagement progress, proactively addressing technical, scheduling, or other issues and recommending solutions.
  • Provide leadership, training, recognition, and administrative guidance to motivate and develop team members.
  • Manage engagement profitability, including client billing and budget oversight.
  • Support firm management in decisions regarding policies and procedures, fostering team alignment with these decisions.
  • Accept additional administrative and supervisory responsibilities, including recruitment efforts and leading professional development initiatives.
  • Stay current on technical and regulatory developments impacting the assurance practice.
  • Assist with any other tasks as needed.
Experience you will need:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in a public accounting firm.
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervising and training experience.
  • CPA certification required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire.
Salary:$180,000 - $260,000/year
