Work on all aspects of commercial litigation from inception through trials and appeals.
Conduct legal research and write memoranda.
Draft complex case evaluations and prepare briefs, pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents.
Conduct, propound, and respond to discovery (documents, written discovery, depositions).
Work with clients, witnesses, experts, and other counsel.
Represent clients in state and federal courts or before government agencies.
Prepare and argue motions, including motions for summary judgment/adjudication.
Prepare for and defend lay and expert witness depositions.
Manage case development and investigation, including regularly reporting to partners overseeing cases and clients.
Communicate research into meaningful written work product.
Experience you will need:
1-3 years of litigation experience is preferred.
Strong writing and case management skills.
Direct experience handling clients and adversaries.
Excellent oral advocacy skills are required.
Savvy with e-discovery, data/document management applications, and related technologies.
Previous law firm experience is preferred.
Must be licensed to practice law in the State of California and be in good standing.
