What You Will Be Doing
- Use Solid Modeling CAD software (Creo or Solidworks) to create models, drawings, and bills of materials for plastic injection molds.
- Perform part model analysis, calculate mass properties, and conduct interference checks using CAD software.
- Design molds for injection and structural foam processes, incorporating parting line splits, cooling, ejection, and mechanisms.
- Ensure mold designs are cost-effective to manufacture and robust for customer needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure designs meet specifications and performance standards.
Experience You Will Need
- Education: High School Diploma and progress toward an Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; OR a combination of education and one year of relevant experience/training.
- Proficiency with Solid Modeling CAD software (e.g., Creo or Solidworks).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A passion for safety and the ability to teach and mentor others for success.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and goal-driven personality.
Salary: $40,000 - $60,000/year
