Human Resource Manager

RBPRSLLC is looking for candidates to fill the position (2) of Human Resource Manager. On-Site position in Hackensack, NJ. No visa sponsorships supported, no agencies please.

What you will be doing:

  • Continuously evaluate current firm policies and procedures and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Oversee firm recruiting, hiring, development, and retention programs to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and recommended employment law practices.
  • Determine staffing needs for the firm and maintain benchmarked staffing ratios and trends.
  • Oversee non-exempt personnel, including administrative assistants and clerical staff, to ensure firm expectations are met.
  • Manage employee relations and resolve employment conflicts, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance in handling employee requests for leaves of absence.
  • Coordinate with the CHRO and Payroll and Benefits Coordinator on all firm benefit plans, including the 401(k)/Profit Sharing Plan.
  • Maintain and update standard job descriptions for support staff, ensuring timely reviews and updates of job descriptions and position specifications.
  • Keep Firm Managing Partners and the CHRO informed of HR matters.
  • Assist with HR reports and financial analysis as requested.
  • Support the integration of new attorneys into the firm.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the CHRO or Firm Managing Partners.

Experience you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or a related field, or equivalent training acquired through work experience.
  • Prior law firm experience is a plus.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or PHR certification is a plus.
  • A minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible work experience with legal or professional service organizations.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve complex issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate and maintain professional relationships with partners, attorneys, and staff.
  • Broad knowledge of law firm services, policies, and procedures.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant computer software.
Salary: $100,000 - $200,000/year
