What You Will Be Doing:

  • Provide administrative support to attorneys to improve office efficiency.
  • Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, medical offices, and law firms.
  • Manage pre-litigation and litigation cases from start to finish, handling up to 80 cases.
  • Open and close case files, including medical records and police reports.
  • Respond to calls, voicemails, and inquiries from potential new clients.
  • Prepare legal documents such as complaints, motions, and discovery responses.
  • Assist attorneys with depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Maintain and monitor deadlines, schedules, and case status notes in the case management system.
  • Prepare settlement fund disbursements and coordinate with the accounting department.
  • Conduct legal research and assist in preparing special packages for cases.
  • Meet and greet walk-in clients, conducting intake as needed.

Experience You Will Need:

  • High school diploma required; Paralegal Certificate or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal in Plaintiff personal injury law.
  • Strong knowledge of New Jersey e-Courts, court rules, and legal procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal).
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000/year
