About Us
We are working with a leading aerospace test and measurement company that specializes in designing custom Automated Test Equipment (ATE) systems for commercial and military electronics. They develop cutting-edge test solutions to support mission-critical applications in aerospace and defense.
This is a hands-on hardware design role where you will develop test systems, design circuits, and integrate ATE solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronic hardware design, not just test execution.
What You Will Do
• Design and develop Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and Test Program Sets (TPS) for electronic circuit boards and complex systems
• Perform circuit design, schematic capture, and system integration for test applications
• Develop test strategies and create custom test hardware and software
• Analyze circuit boards, systems, and components to define test requirements
• Generate and review technical documentation, including schematics, test procedures, wiring diagrams, and specifications
• Troubleshoot and integrate electronic circuits, ensuring system functionality
Who You Are
•
BSEE or equivalent degree with a focus on electronic design
•
Minimum 3 years of experience in analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design
• Hands-on experience designing circuits using schematic capture tools such as Altium, OrCAD, or Cadence
• Proficiency with test instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, and function generators
• Must be a US citizen or green card holder due to ITAR compliance
• Must work on-site in Irvine, CA, five days a week
Nice to Have
• Experience with MIL-STD-1553, MIL-STD-1760, and other military standards
• Test software development experience with ATEasy, LabVIEW, C++, Visual Basic, or LabWindows
• PCB design experience with multi-layer boards, including high-frequency and high-speed designs
• Experience developing TPSs for microprocessor-based circuits and complex electronic systems
• Background in environmental testing such as EMI, EMC, or MIL-STD-810
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead small project teams
Salary: $80,000 - $140,000/year
