About:
A leading engineering firm is seeking an FPGA Digital Design Engineer to develop high-performance test instrumentation for aerospace and military electronic systems. This role requires expertise in FPGA development, PCB layout, and hardware design, with a focus on delivering reliable, scalable solutions. Candidates should be comfortable with full-cycle product development, from feasibility analysis to production handoff, and should thrive in a collaborative engineering environment.
What you’ll do:
• Develop complex FPGAs for real-time test and measurement applications.
• Design and implement programmable devices and high-speed electronic circuits.
• Create schematics and PCB layouts using Altium or similar tools.
• Debug, test, and integrate FPGA-based designs to ensure functionality and performance.
• Conduct feasibility studies and execute development based on technical, budget, and schedule constraints.
• Optimize designs for manufacturability and reliability in mission-critical environments.
• Document specifications, design processes, and test procedures for seamless production transfer.
• Mentor junior engineers and support team-wide engineering excellence.
Who you are:
•
10+ years of experience in FPGA design, electronic circuit development, and PCB engineering.
• BSEE or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Expertise in FPGA development, including Altera/Intel Quartus, Xilinx Vivado, or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in PCB design tools, with Altium Designer preferred.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for complex electronic systems.
• Ability to drive projects independently from concept to production.
Salary: $120,000 - $175,000/year
