What you will be doing:
- Assist in the preparation of loan presentations, financial analysis, and annual review of Commercial Loans.
- Analyze financial statements and prepare credit packages with recommendations on proposed credit requests.
- Complete annual reviews of existing commercial credits.
- Use appropriate models including financial spreadsheets and financial spreading software to analyze and document credit decisions.
- Ensure loan requests are in compliance with Bank and regulatory policies.
- Collaborate with and support Risk Management functions including Credit Policy Management and Credit Administration.
- Supervise Credit Analyst/s and the loan underwriting function.
- Serve as Appraisal Program Manager and ensure compliance with regulatory appraisal requirements.
- Produce quality and clear credit presentations for Loan Committee.
- Provide loan management with emphasis on transparency regarding credit facilities.
- Utilize communication skills to obtain necessary information for requests and annual reviews.
- Understand all commercial loan types and their uses in loan structuring.
- Familiarity with commercial loan documentation and attachment perfection.
- Assist with bank-wide financial spreadsheet programs and analyses emphasizing global cash flow.
- Identify and report material changes in the balance sheet and income statements of borrowers.
- Complete cash flows on deal-specific projects as requested.
- Manage the Loan Review Program including internal and external loan reviews.
- Assist with market monitoring, risk management, and credit risk ratings.
- Perform annual CECL independent reviews.
- Analyze the adequacy of collateral securing loans.
- Help manage workout strategies for non-performing loans.
- Update Credit Policy changes and disseminate updates to personnel.
- Assist in contacting customers, CPAs, and advisors as needed.
- Support Commercial Real Estate, Loan Management, and Policy & Risk Management Committees.
- Prioritize, multi-task, and work with multiple Commercial Loan Officers.
- Coordinate Loan Committee activities and document committee records.
Experience you will need:
- Extensive knowledge of commercial lending principles and practices.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in financial analysis and credit risk evaluation.
- Experience in managing and supervising teams.
- Familiarity with regulatory appraisal requirements for commercial real estate.
- Proficient in financial spreading software and creating financial models.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Experience with various types of commercial loans, including specialized lending and SBA loans.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in financial data.
- Knowledge of risk management practices and compliance regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with various teams.
Salary: $90,000 - $100,000/year
