What you will be doing:

  • Represent clients in all stages of workers' compensation litigation, including initial investigations, depositions, hearings, trials, and appeals.
  • Provide legal advice and strategic defense plans to clients, ensuring the best possible outcomes in workers' compensation cases.
  • Conduct thorough legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Analyze and interpret complex medical and legal documents.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, judges, and other stakeholders.
  • Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients' best interests.
  • Stay updated on changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations and apply this knowledge to case strategy.
  • Participate in continuing legal education and professional development activities to maintain and enhance legal expertise.

Experience you will need:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the California State Bar.
  • 1-15 years of experience in workers' compensation defense.
  • Strong knowledge of California workers' compensation laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a caseload efficiently with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Proven track record of successful case outcomes.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be highly energetic and motivated.
Salary: $90,000 - $195,000/year
