Seeking a dynamic and experienced Commodity Inside Sales Representative with a proven ability to excel in a fast-paced sales environment. This individual will focus on securing competitive pricing from vendors and manufacturers while driving sales of bulk electrical stock items—such as pipe, wire, conduit, fittings, and couplers—to electrical installing contractors throughout the DMV area.
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate deep industry knowledge, a strong network of vendor and contractor relationships, and a consistent ability to meet ambitious sales goals of $4 to $6 million annually.
Key Responsibilities
  • Price Negotiation: Secure competitive cost pricing from vendors and manufacturers to ensure profitability.
  • Sales Growth: Develop and execute strategies to drive sales with electrical installing contractors in the DMV area.
  • Opportunity Identification: Leverage industry expertise to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term partnerships with vendors, manufacturers, and contractors.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to optimize order fulfillment, ensure excellent customer service, and achieve company objectives.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in inside sales with a focus on electrical contractors.
  • Industry Knowledge: Extensive expertise in bulk electrical stock items, including pipe, wire, conduit, fittings, and couplers.
  • Network: Established working relationships with key vendors, manufacturers, and contractors.
  • Sales Performance: Proven track record of achieving and exceeding annual sales targets of $4 to $6 million.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
