Key Account Manager (Outside Sales)

What you will be doing:

  • Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
  • Analyze the territory/market's potential, track sales and status reports
  • Supply management with trip reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of our products and services
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, and making recommendations to management
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and support teams to drive product sales and growth
  • Project management with special projects as assigned
  • Ensure compliance with local, state and federal government requirements
  • Maintain the utmost confidentiality in all aspects of the company's business and financial information
  • Perform other related duties as needed or assigned

Experience you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or similar field desired, MBA preferred
  • 3+ years in relevant sales experience 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (being highly proficient in Excel) and Rubicon software a plus
  • Proven track record of delivering successful results in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
  • In-depth industry knowledge, excellent relationship management skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets
  • Proficiency in communication and negotiation, problem-solving, and customer service
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Results driven: Focused on individual and team success by being accountable to deadlines, customer needs and collaboratively working together to achieve these goals
  • Wire and cable industry experience 
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000/year
