What You Will Be Doing
Defending municipalities and school districts in civil litigation, especially civil rights cases
Working on matters involving employment law, First Amendment issues, law enforcement, tort, and land use litigation
Supporting non-municipal clients with various litigation and corporate legal needs
Drafting legal documents and contributing to case strategy
Utilizing strong legal writing and research skills in daily work

Experience You Will Need
J.D. degree with a license to practice law in New York
Prior experience or strong interest in civil litigation (especially municipal/school district cases preferred)
Familiarity with civil rights law, employment law, and land use litigation
Excellent writing and research skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases

Salary: $85,000 - $120,000/year
