Lead Actuary

What You Will Be Doing

  • Lead actuarial strategy and execution, reporting directly to the CFO.
  • Drive membership and financial growth through actuarial methodologies.
  • Manage actuarial expertise and tools to optimize risk assessment and pricing.
  • Partner with Product, Underwriting, and Finance teams to develop innovative solutions.
  • Work with third-party administrators, managing general underwriters, and network partners.
  • Conduct statistical analysis and predictive modeling for financial forecasting.
  • Lead negotiations for multi-million-dollar contracts to optimize financial outcomes.
  • Present actuarial insights and recommendations to stakeholders, including the board of directors.

Experience You Will Need

  • 10+ years of actuarial experience in healthcare with leadership responsibilities.
  • Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) and Membership in the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA) preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Strong expertise in self-funded and fully insured products.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and Tableau.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business acumen to drive actuarial success.
Salary: $140,000 - $220,000/year
