Radiation Therapist Lead - Radiation Oncology

RBPRSLLC is looking for candidates to fill the position of Radiation Therapist Lead - Radiation Oncology. On-Site position in Carroll, IA. No visa sponsorships supported, no agencies please.

Summary:

Join our team as a Radiation Oncology Supervisor, where you’ll lead daily operations in the radiation therapy department to ensure exceptional patient care, seamless staff coordination, regulatory compliance, and effective collaboration across departments.

What you will be doing:

  • Support daily clinical operations, troubleshoot issues, and enhance patient care.
  • Assist with patient treatments, simulations, and direct clinical care.
  • Provide staff feedback on productivity, teamwork, and clinical performance.
  • Serve as a liaison between radiation oncology and other departments.
  • Manage staffing and coverage for therapists and dosimetrists.
  • Track quality metrics; support preauthorization and billing processes.
  • Lead and support performance improvement (PI) projects.
  • Assist in developing programs, policies, and procedures aligned with CoC standards and local regulations.
  • Represent Cancer Services in meetings and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Support marketing plans, write program reports, and create communications.
  • Maintain relationships with referral sources and managed care systems.
  • Contribute to budget planning: staffing, clinical needs, and capital expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and JCAHO standards.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain patient/employee confidentiality.
  • Attend mandatory meetings, pursue professional growth, and perform other duties as assigned.

Experience you will need:

  • Bachelor's in Health Sciences or related field, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership in a clinical setting preferred.
  • ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy and Iowa state permit required.
  • Current BCLS certification.
  • Strong time management, teamwork, and independent decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in evidence-based care and complex medical equipment operation.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to interpret technical/regulatory documents and present to diverse audiences.
  • Frequent standing, walking, lifting (20–50 lbs), and use of hands.
  • Visual acuity, physical stamina, and emotional resilience required.
  • Exposure to clinical hazards; adherence to safety protocols essential.
Salary: $85,000 - $105,000/year
