Summary
Join a growing mechanical contractor with deep expertise in HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial and industrial projects. As a Commercial Sales Executive, you’ll lead the pursuit of new construction opportunities—managing preconstruction relationships, estimating coordination, and proposal development. This is a client-facing, field-based role ideal for a strategic seller with a strong understanding of mechanical scopes and a network in general contracting and design-build environments.
 
What You’ll Do
  • Develop and manage relationships with general contractors, developers, and design-build partners
  • Pursue HVAC and plumbing scopes for commercial new construction projects
  • Lead preconstruction efforts in collaboration with estimators and project managers
  • Respond to RFPs and coordinate full proposal packages with internal teams
  • Identify upcoming bid opportunities through local networks, platforms, and industry events
  • Conduct site visits, attend pre-bid walkthroughs, and represent the company in project interviews
  • Maintain pipeline activity, forecasts, and deal tracking using CRM tools
  • Collaborate with operations to ensure smooth handoff and customer satisfaction
 
Experience You’ll Need
  • 5+ years of sales or business development experience in mechanical construction
  • Strong understanding of commercial HVAC and plumbing systems
  • Proven success developing business with GCs, owners, and design-build partners
  • Experience managing long sales cycles and navigating preconstruction timelines
  • Skilled in reading plans/specs and partnering with estimators during bid phase
  • CRM familiarity (Salesforce or similar) and strong pipeline management
Salary: $145,000 - $155,000/year
