A well-established, multidisciplinary engineering firm that delivers impactful local and regional infrastructure projects is seeking an experienced engineering leader to join their team. They are looking for a Registered Professional Engineer with at least 10 years of design experience and a minimum of 2 years in project or staff management, ideally within the transportation sector, to support strategic growth and lead operational success.
What you will be doing:
Support the Vice President in achieving Transportation SBU goals related to sales, revenue, and profitability
Oversee daily SBU operations and ensure efficiency, technical adequacy, and staff performance
Contribute to strategic business planning and enforce corporate and departmental policies
Lead and support project teams, including mentoring staff, conducting evaluations, and promoting cross-functional collaboration
Drive business development by maintaining client relationships, preparing proposals, and negotiating contracts
Monitor project progress, budget compliance, and technical performance to ensure quality and profitability
Coordinate with other SBUs on multi-discipline projects and resource planning
Experience you will need:
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
Minimum 10 years of transportation design or engineering experience
Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license required
At least 2 years in a project management or staff supervisory role
Proven leadership ability and familiarity with business planning, client development, and team performance management
Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
