A well-established and community-focused financial institution is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Commercial Credit Analyst to join its credit team. This role is ideal for candidates with 3–5 years of commercial credit experience who have a strong foundation in underwriting complex commercial and leveraged loans, analyzing financial risk, and working within regulatory frameworks. The ideal candidate is analytical, communicative, and comfortable leading reviews of high-value commercial credit transactions.

What you will be doing:

  • Underwriting complex commercial loans, including leveraged loans, credit cards, lines of credit, and mortgages

  • Managing the leveraged loan portfolio and leading the review process

  • Preparing and presenting detailed credit analyses and recommendations to approving authorities

  • Assisting in the development and review of credit policies and departmental procedures

  • Supporting the training of new staff and interns

  • Scheduling and assigning monthly renewals within the analyst team

  • Collaborating with external and internal stakeholders to gather and evaluate financial information

  • Generating weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for senior management

  • Helping resolve technical issues related to underwriting and departmental systems

Experience you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting (MBA preferred)

  • 3–5 years of commercial credit experience, including underwriting leveraged loans

  • Strong knowledge of credit policy, banking regulations, and financial risk analysis

  • Proficiency in interpreting financial statements and tax returns

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and mentoring skills

  • Familiarity with underwriting software and departmental technologies

Salary: $100,000 - $105,000/year
