Summary
A highly ranked, mid-sized law firm is seeking a commercial bankruptcy attorney to join its respected Bankruptcy & Restructuring team in Pittsburgh. This is a strong growth opportunity for an associate ready to gain courtroom exposure, collaborate with senior attorneys, and directly support commercial clients navigating complex financial challenges. The firm offers meaningful mentorship, visibility with clients, and support for long-term career development within the practice.

What You’ll Do

  • Draft and negotiate forbearance agreements, restructuring plans, and related corporate documents

  • Represent clients in bankruptcy court, receiverships, and commercial litigation matters

  • Support creditor and borrower-side matters in business bankruptcies and workouts

  • Draft motions, briefs, expert reports, mediation statements, and plan documents

  • Participate in hearings, client meetings, and mediation sessions with supervision and support

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys across related practice areas including finance, litigation, and real estate

What You’ll Need

  • JD from an accredited law school

  • Active license to practice in Pennsylvania

  • 3–6 years of experience in bankruptcy, commercial restructuring, or foreclosure litigation

  • Strong writing and legal research skills, with an eye for strategic advocacy

  • Courtroom readiness and the ability to support or lead appearances as needed

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills

  • Commitment to collaboration, responsiveness, and client-first service

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with iManage or similar document management systems

  • E-filing experience in bankruptcy and state courts

  • Comfort interacting directly with commercial clients

  • Interest or experience in business development and thought leadership

Salary: $95,000 - $125,000/year
