What you will be doing:
- Lead the Human Resources (HR) function for the Dealer Portfolio.
- Align HR strategies with the Dealer Portfolio’s mission and goals.
- Collaborate with the Corporate HR Team to tailor corporate policies and practices.
- Anticipate HR implications of business initiatives and provide strategic advice.
- Mentor HR team members and serve as the first point of escalation for HR-related issues.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the management team.
- Leverage HR expertise to provide strategic advice and solutions.
- Design and implement leadership development programs.
- Partner with leadership to assess employee engagement and implement initiatives.
- Work with Corporate HR and outside counsel to address complex employee relations issues.
- Lead the HR due diligence and integration process for new acquisitions.
- Identify areas for continuous improvement and development.
- Develop and implement efficient talent acquisition processes.
- Manage the successful execution of HR-related projects.
- Maintain relationships with Corporate HR to ensure alignment with corporate initiatives.
- Develop and track key HR metrics to measure performance.
- Participate in professional development opportunities.
Experience you will need:
- BA/BS in Human Resources or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive Human Resources Management experience.
- Strong background in labor and employee relations, conflict resolution, and investigations.
- Experience in compensation and benefits, organizational development, and people development.
- HR Certification
- Strong knowledge of Canadian and US employment laws.
- Proven experience in team building and gaining confidence at all levels.
- Experience managing employees in a remote environment.
- Expertise in HR due diligence and post-acquisition integration.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR information systems (e.g., ADP).
- Experience as an HR-user within Workday is a plus.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%.
- Experience with recruitment and retention of high-performing employees.
Salary: $140,000 - $160,000/year
