Director of Attorney Recruitment

Akron, Columbus and Toledo, OH
RBPRSLLC is looking for candidates to fill the position of Director of Attorney Recruitment. On-Site/Hybrid position in Akron, Columbus and Toledo, OH. No visa sponsorships supported, no agencies please. 

Work Environment:
  • Work hybrid in anyone of these offices: Akron, Columbus, or Toledo, Ohio offices.
  • Travel to all offices as required.
 
What You'll Do:
Strategic Recruitment Leadership:
  • Oversee firm-wide recruitment, emphasizing strategic lateral attorney hiring.
  • Develop and execute the firm's attorney recruitment strategy.
  • Design workflows to prioritize, recruit, and integrate attorneys based on success criteria.
  • Manage lateral, associate, and professional recruitment programs.
  • Serve on the Executive Leadership Team, reporting to the COO, with firm-wide visibility.
  • Supervise all recruitment resources and coordinators.
 
Recruitment Process Management:
  • Set recruitment goals with Department Administrators, Hiring and Compensation Committee, and office partners.
  • Manage the full attorney recruitment process, from application to onboarding, with HR collaboration.
  • Develop retention-focused workflows.
  • Implement interview training, techniques, and evaluation forms for effective candidate assessment.
  • Partner with CFO and Controller to prioritize recruitment needs financially.
  • Establish consistent recruitment and retention practices, including offer letters and follow-ups.
  • Conduct and analyze exit interviews to enhance recruitment and retention.
 
Experience You'll Need:
  • J.D. or BA/BS degree.
  • 10+ years in professional legal recruitment, ideally in a large AmLaw firm or similar.
  • Proven success scaling recruitment for large enterprises.
  • Expertise in HR management, employee relations, professional development, and compensation analysis.
  • MUST have experience recruiting lateral partners and groups AT a law firm. This is REQUIRED
  • Leadership to drive a high-performing recruitment team.
  • Knowledge of attorney recruitment standards and practices.
  • Proficiency in technology, business applications, and social media.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
Salary: $120,000 - $180,000/year
