Summary:
This is a hands-on accounting role ideal for a professional with at least two years of experience in general ledger management, cost accounting, and financial reporting. Reporting to a department manager or Plant Controller, the Plant Accountant will take ownership of financial analysis, budgeting, and operational accounting within a manufacturing environment. Candidates with experience across multiple accounting functions or plant-based operations are highly encouraged to apply.
What You’ll Do:
• Perform general and plant accounting duties, including monthly close and account reconciliations
• Analyze trade fund spending and prepare financial reports for internal stakeholders
• Manage budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with department leads
• Support cost accounting efforts tied to production and operations
• Maintain fixed asset accounting records and depreciation schedules
• Participate in special financial projects and process improvement initiatives
Experience You’ll Need:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• 2+ years of hands-on accounting experience; manufacturing environment a plus
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Office Suite; strong analytical and data skills
• Experience in at least two distinct accounting functions or positions
• CPA or advanced degree a plus
