A nationally recognized audit firm specializing in the insurance industry is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager with a strong background in public accounting and insurance clients. Ideal candidates will have at least 7 years of public accounting experience, a current CPA license, and a track record of leading audits, managing teams, and building client relationships. This is a remote role with occasional on-site visits, offering flexibility, growth, and the opportunity to work with a firm ranked in the top 10 for Property & Casualty insurance clients.
What you will be doing:
Manage and oversee multiple audit engagements across P&C, life, and health insurance clients.
Ensure audit compliance with professional and firm standards; review financial statements, management letters, and tax returns.
Build and maintain client relationships, lead client meetings, and identify opportunities to expand services.
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate audit staff; allocate responsibilities and provide ongoing support.
Monitor project budgets and timelines, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.
Contribute to business development efforts, including proposals, networking, and client acquisition.
Experience you will need:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
Active CPA license (required).
Minimum of 7 years of public accounting experience, ideally with insurance clients.
Proven leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Willingness to work seasonal overtime as needed.
Valid driver’s license (for occasional travel).
