What you will be doing: CNC CAM Programmer
Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints, specifications, and design data to calculate part dimensions.
Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Gibbs CAD/CAM software.
Update CNC programs and manufacturing processes to help optimize machining lead times.
Use a variety of precision measuring instruments.
Generate setup instructions and machine tool lists for operators.
Recommend tooling applications and operational sequences to assist in developing practical programming for new and unusual machining requirements.
May set up for and instruct machine operators of lower classification.
Recognize, report, and correct errors.
Perform other duties as needed.
Experience you will need: CNC CAM Programmer
High school diploma or its equivalent.
Accredited apprenticeship or equivalent training (2-year degree).
Knowledge of machine shop practices, techniques, and operations.
Basic math, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
5+ years of CNC programming experience.
3+ years of CAD experience.
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
Willingness to bring new ideas and potential efficiencies to the management team.
