What You Will Be Doing:
Lead residential, commercial, and industrial site development projects from schematic design through final plan preparation, strictly in-office.
Take ownership of stormwater management design and ensure regulatory compliance.
Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and internal teams on timelines, deliverables, and quality control.
Apply fundamental civil engineering concepts independently to create and review grading, utility, and roadway layouts.
Demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred) and other design software to develop detailed engineering plans.
Prepare permits, plans, and municipal submission packages with accuracy and consistency.
Engage in cross-disciplinary teamwork with surveying and landscape architecture groups.
Communicate effectively with project teams and external stakeholders to keep projects on track.
Experience You Will Need
2+ years of civil engineering experience—preferably in site development (residential, commercial, industrial).
Solid understanding of stormwater management, grading, utility design, and roadway layout.
Proven proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other industry-standard design tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills—able to learn new plan details quickly.
Demonstrated ability to work independently under a Project Manager while contributing as a collaborative team member.
Background in quality control or construction documentation is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (required).
E.I. (Engineer-in-Training) working toward an Ohio P.E. license, or a licensed Ohio P.E., strongly preferred; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
