Summary:
This senior-level engineering role is ideal for a licensed electrical engineer with over a decade of experience leading complex design projects and managing interdisciplinary teams. The position requires deep technical knowledge, project oversight capability, and strong coordination with stakeholders. You’ll be responsible for end-to-end project execution, mentorship of junior staff, and maintaining high design standards while ensuring compliance with codes and specifications.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead complex electrical designs and perform engineering studies with documented recommendations
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and team coordination from start to finish
- Review junior staff work, provide technical guidance, and supervise electrical design teams
- Conduct site visits, respond to RFIs/submittals, and resolve field issues
- Maintain and develop master standards, technical guides, and quality control processes
- Edit specifications, review codes, and ensure all designs meet regulatory compliance
Experience You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- PE license required
- 12+ years of engineering experience (15+ years if no degree)
- Proficiency with Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and related engineering software
- Strong working knowledge of local agency codes and standards
- Prior experience managing multidisciplinary project teams
