Electrical Engineer

What you will be doing:

  • Perform as a critical design team member in electrical systems development and coordination for construction design projects.
  • Interact with the firm's project team members (designers and engineers from mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and technology systems disciplines), architects, consultants, clients, and contractors.
  • Identify project requirements, develop engineering concepts, and present options and recommendations to meet project requirements.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and technical knowledge.
  • Apply strong technical design skills to produce accurate and timely project deliverables.
  • Support project requirements with client interface, field investigation, basis of design narratives, and development of electrical construction design documents compliant with applicable codes and standards.
  • Review submittals and support the project through construction completion.
  • Design projects in Revit and AutoCAD for compliance with city, state, and national building codes and industry construction standards.
  • Provide design information and delegate work to production support staff as applicable.
  • Share knowledge with other design staff in a leadership role.
  • Meet and interact with clients and project stakeholders.
  • Communicate with manufacturers and contractors to stay abreast of the latest trends and electrical systems technology.
  • Coordinate and perform construction administration tasks internally and externally for successful project outcomes.

Experience you will need:

  • Registered PE in the State of Arizona.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an ABET accredited engineering program (Architectural Engineering Degree preferred).
  • Excellent skills in designing electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of lighting and control, power, power distribution, HVAC coordination, food service equipment coordination, and fire alarm systems.
  • Working knowledge of current versions of Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Ability to apply logic, reasoning, and organizational skills to structure concepts and ideas into deliverables.
  • Working knowledge of COMcheck and applicable energy codes.
  • Working knowledge of NEC and NFPA Code Standards.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, OneNote, Word, etc.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team structure.
  • Ability to learn and grow professionally.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic.
$100,000 - $125,000/year
