What you will be doing:
Perform as a critical design team member in electrical systems development and coordination for construction design projects.
Interact with the firm's project team members (designers and engineers from mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and technology systems disciplines), architects, consultants, clients, and contractors.
Identify project requirements, develop engineering concepts, and present options and recommendations to meet project requirements.
Demonstrate professionalism and technical knowledge.
Apply strong technical design skills to produce accurate and timely project deliverables.
Support project requirements with client interface, field investigation, basis of design narratives, and development of electrical construction design documents compliant with applicable codes and standards.
Review submittals and support the project through construction completion.
Design projects in Revit and AutoCAD for compliance with city, state, and national building codes and industry construction standards.
Provide design information and delegate work to production support staff as applicable.
Share knowledge with other design staff in a leadership role.
Meet and interact with clients and project stakeholders.
Communicate with manufacturers and contractors to stay abreast of the latest trends and electrical systems technology.
Coordinate and perform construction administration tasks internally and externally for successful project outcomes.
Experience you will need:
Registered PE in the State of Arizona.
Bachelor's Degree from an ABET accredited engineering program (Architectural Engineering Degree preferred).
Excellent skills in designing electrical systems.
Knowledge of lighting and control, power, power distribution, HVAC coordination, food service equipment coordination, and fire alarm systems.
Working knowledge of current versions of Revit and AutoCAD.
Ability to apply logic, reasoning, and organizational skills to structure concepts and ideas into deliverables.
Working knowledge of COMcheck and applicable energy codes.
